Today’s Inspiration: “Let Christ dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” Ephesians 3:17 NIV. Love is not just a feeling or emotion in the biblical context but a choice and decision to follow Christ. God loves us not of what we do but who we are in His eyes, for we are His children and He is our heavenly Abba Father. Many do not know how to love today is because they do not have good earthly fathers. And that distort our image of God. On the contrary, it is through the Word of God we can encounter the unconditional, sacrificial and personal love of God, through Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
Like Christ, who died to self so that He could carry the Cross of our sins to Calvary hill for our redemption and salvation. Jesus’s desire is to give us His Holy Spirit of love so that we could become more like Him and fulfil God’s divine purpose in our lives. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 1 John 4:13-16. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, your thoughts about me filled me with the father’s presence of your love and care, for my future and wellness. My heart is swelling with thanksgiving and my mind is overwhelmed by your lavishing and outpouring love over my life through Christ. My prayer and worship is fully rested in Holy awe of your grace and mercy. Let my new season be filled like an overflowing cup of your unfailing love, grace and passion, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
