13 October 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward. The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.”Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ It is common for all to pray for one’s own needs but few discern their own hearts and words. God hears not religious prayers but relational prayers. If we who are called by His Name, shall humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from all wicked ways; He will hear our prayers, forgive our sins and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.

This is a critical time of wars and battles and the more we have to discern unity and love, not division and hatred; to forgive and bless, not bitterness and curses. Guarding our hearts is also guarding our words and wellness. Jesus taught,”A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭35‬-‭37.‬ ‭Humility brings forth the fear of the Lord and its wages are riches, honour and life. Proverbs 22:4.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me not lean on my own understanding or knowledge but on your Words and Wisdom of the gospel to navigate in this difficult and emotional time. I believe you are the way, truth and the life in all situations. I believe you are greater than all my challenges and my heart. Let this be a time of your wisdom, miracles and breakthroughs. For nothing is impossible for God, and all things are possible for he who believes, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
