Today’s Inspiration: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10. Our fears comes from sin since Adam’s fall in the garden of Eden. Fear arises when we choose to depend on self rather than on God, we choose to take things into our own hands rather than taking to God in prayer, petition and thanksgiving in our hearts. Philippians 4:6. What we think is good can be evil to God just like the steward who hid his one talent. Matthew 25:26. Remember God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours as the heavens are higher than the earth. Fear has to be cast out to have victory in life, health, relationships, career and ministry. And only Love of God can cast out all fears. 1 John 4:18.
One of the most powerful victory in building our person prayer altar is casting out all fears. God’s mighty right hand stretches out to Peter when he was sinking in the waters as he cried out because of the fear of the waves when he took his eyes off Jesus when walking on water. Matthew 14:31. So why do we fear and what is the root?
Prayerlessness causes procrastination, doubts, worries of the future and the gripping thoughts of our past pains, failures and abuses, which are spiritual forces that stop us from pursuing our God given destiny by faith and seeking His face. Nevertheless, Prayer draws us closer to the love of God, His word and His Holy Spirit to pull down all strongholds and break all chains of fear. Prayer keeps us with perpetually consciousness of the presence of God. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my eyes be fixed on you in prayer constantly and consistently. Fill me with your Spirit, Strengthen my heart and Stretch my faith with a new measure with your righteousness right hand to overcome all my fears in this world and be blessed by your glorious kingdom and inheritance. In Christ, no longer I am a slave to sin and fear, but a child of God, blessed and secure, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
