Today‘s Inspiration: “Though fear had come upon them because of the people of those countries, they set the altar on its bases; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening burnt offerings.” Ezra 3:3 NKJV. The Israelites was under the oppressive Babylon rule, yet the Lord was with them despite having no land or nation of their own. Jerusalem was in ruins and their hearts was to rebuilt its gates and walls. Their hope and vision was to rebuilt the temple of God but to do that, they have to rebuilt the Altar of God.
A spiritual life is not a religious life. Religious is routine but spiritual is about changes. Many pray to God, but few changes their heart of stone into heart of love in confession, repentance and transformation. Ezekiel 36:26. Ezra the priest from the Tribe of Levi and descendant of Aaron, ministered the Law of Moses and nation of Israel wept because of their sins. When they rebuild the altar, God gave favor to rebuild the temple by the king. Breakthroughs come from our spirit and not from our flesh. Life is about love and relationship with God, self and others. Change can only come with humility, obedience, and teachability by the word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: O Lord my God, search my hearts and test me knowing my anxious thoughts. If there are any offences, sins, iniquities and transgressions, forgive me as I repent. Give me a clean hands and a pure heart by your grace to help me change in difficult areas, especially my words, attitudes and actions. Let the image of Christ shine inside of me, that I may be more like you My Lord and healer, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
