12 November 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105. Are you desperate to read and meditate the word each morning? If so, you are in the light, you shine even in the midst of darkness.

Our faith is strengthened and weakened by the word we use and the thoughts we permit to occupy our minds. What we say to ourselves, we permit the words to occupy our minds. What we permit ourselves to think of a situation and what we believe in our exploits and our future can hurt us or help us.

The reason why Christians are defeated despite bearing the Blood of Christ in them is that they tend to use continually self-destructive words, words of doubt and harmful words thinking of defeat rather than success when they speak and start thinking of what is about to happen to them. We should avoid oppressive thoughts of ourselves to be steadfast and confident. Your tongue can say words that make you either weaker or stronger, secure or insecure. Apostle James wrote much about faith and tongues in James 1 & 3. Our tongue though a small device can set the whole place ablaze. James 3:2-5. Jesus spoke very much about our words in Matthew 12:35-37.

To maintain success in all that you do, speak words of faith, truth, trust and victory. If you don't know who you are, others will tell you who you are. God already tells you who you are. You must carry yourself as the child of the Royal King who is also King of kings and Lord of Lord's and the Great High priest who intercede for you day and night and He has His spirit living in you to be your advocate in the Heavenly court. If you don't know who you are, then others will tell you who you are. God already tells you who you are in His word. You know who you are but you must know whose you are.

There is surely a hope for you and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18. Seek Him diligently for what you are about to do and let Him turn the situation around into a positive mode. God be praised.

Prayer: Abba Father we know our faith will always be tested. Like Abraham, we do not know what is happening to us and but we still make a decision to believe and trust You. Help us grow in our understanding of Your love and the strategies You want us to adopt. Do not allow our senses to overtake our faith as the devil tend to attack us through our senses therefore help us to unleash the mystery of your word that will sink deeply in our thoughts and heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
