Today’s Inspiration: “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you." Isaiah 42:9 NIV. Coming to the year end, there are many things we ought not to carry to 2025. Our worries, fears, anxiousness, even our conflicts, offences and anguish are to be surrendered unto the Lord. As I was praying, the Lord revealed many hearts were hardened and it is such a burden to be carried over. The hardest thing to give God is our Pride, for it steals away our joy in the Lord.
To receive new things from God, we have to first leave behind old things that is not from God in 2024. There maybe even unresolved conflicts which we had carried over the years. Jesus went to the Cross not just for redemption of our sins but also to take away our wounds, our pains, and our infirmities. Isaiah 53:4-5. It is difficult to forgive and forget, but it is even more difficult to be burdened and bound in the soul for decades. So will you give your hardened heart to God for a new one from Christ? Ezekiel 36:26 Remember this, we can’t enter the kingdom of God with a hardened heart and neither can we have new breakthroughs with old burdens. It’s time to surrender to God, and start anew. Shalom!
Prayer: O Lord my God, I thank you for revealing deep things within my soul. I want to surrender my hardened heart to you, for a new heart of Christ. Break every pride that I could see and every fallow ground which hinder my soul to be a fruitful soil for your new seeds to grow. Make me a new wineskin that new wine for 2025 could be poured in. A contrite heart and broken spirit, you will not turn away, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
