Today’s Inspiration: “For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.” I Thessalonians 4:7-8 NKJV. When the Bible speaks of being Born Again, it is not a state, status or product of Christianity but a process of sanctification, maturity and growth in a spiritual life. It is the divine work of the Holy Spirit. You will not be surprised that many in the Church are not fully born again or there are problems in the birthing process into a life of holiness.

There are four aspects in the birthing process. We first need to repent from all our sins earnestly before God alone because we are sinners saved by grace through faith. Without true repentance which means true transformation, we can’t enter the kingdom of God and that pleads the blood of Yeshua. Second, there must be faith in Jesus Christ alone in believing in His Lordship over our lives. Thirdly, it is the baptism of water which is the act of faith in burial of the old sinful nature or old man, just as the crucifixion at the Cross. And last but not least is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, to receive the fullness of God’s love and His precious gift for our redemption, restoration and regeneration into a new life, a new man, and a holy life that is pleasing to God, walking in His word.
Prayer: O Lord my God, it is not by might, nor by power but by your Holy Spirit that leads me to be born again. Search my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. If there is a fallow ground in my heart, let it be broken and forgive my sins. I didn’t receive a spirit of fear but the spirit of Sonship who gives me your love, faith and a sound mind to live in your righteousness. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
