12 August 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. How do we navigate suffering in a Christian life? It is through the Word of God, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Life greatest challenges is sickness, lack, and brokenness, yet the Cross is not unfamiliar with such predicaments. In fact, it is through the Cross, we could truly understand who Christ is to us personally, relationally, and spiritually.

What if our deepest pain reveals our greatest purpose to help others? It reflects the power of the Cross. Life is not about ourselves but about God and His love for us in Christ. His time allows us to give our life for others as a servant leader. Selflessness breaks depression, isolation, and loneliness, healing our spirit, soul and body. What if our strongest opposition becomes our best composition of character? It reflects the character of Christ. What if our breakthroughs and healing that comes slow, tells us if a thirst of what the world cannot satisfy? It reflects the kingdom of God that the world is not our home. In fact, sufferings turn us closer, tighter, and deeper with God.

Prayer: O Lord my God, draw me close to you at all times. For your grace is deeper than all my transgressions, and your love is stronger than all my challenges. For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Your Holy Spirit is my song, my healer and my liberation. Only you could satisfy my soul. For who the Son sets free is free indeed, in Jesus Name, Amen.
