12 April 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ The Great Commission isn’t an option, it is the Great Commandment of Christ upon His disciples to take the gospel to ends of the world. We must remember that it wasn’t the Church that built the Mission, it was the Mission of Christ that built the Church.

What is your Mission? In the modern church culture today we faced too many distractions and divisions among denominations. Why? Our focus is on ministers or ministries rather than on the Mission field. We are saved by grace through faith to be sanctified so that we can serve the Church for its vision for Mission. What Satan wants is to distract the church to move away from Mission because that is where the kingdom harvest will be. Have we ever asked why Jesus needs to make disciples and what discipleship is for? The goal is not to build nice buildings or auditoriums or having a mega ministry. It is to send His disciples to the Mission field to save souls. It takes sacrifice, selflessness, and servanthood in spiritual formation. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, keep my eyes on your great commission and keep my heart on your great commandment. Make me a disciple to be sent out and use me as your vessel for the gospel in the mission you have called me, for the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Therefore I pray that the Lord of Harvest will raise up the generation to be sent out for a great harvest in our time, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
