11 May 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Updated: May 12, 2023

Today’s Inspiration: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV. To live in Christ is to live in His Word. Biblical literacy, passion, and discipline are desperately needed in the body of Christ today, for without the Word of God, many will be deceived in the end of times. Apostle Paul was addressing to the Church in Colossae about their spiritual life, not to seek the things of the world but the things above. Colossians 3:2

We can only see Christ, know Christ, and be like Christ through the Word of God. We have many fellowship today but do we have discipleship in the Word of God. Jesus gave himself to His Abba Father’s word, commands and direction daily. Matthew 6:11 The Word of God has the power to remove spiritual blindness in every soul because it is not just a sword of conviction to salvation, it is also the lamp to our feet and light to our prophetic destiny. Psalm 119:105 Today we see many deception, scam, and hypocrisy not just in the world but also in the body of Christ with false doctrines, false prophets, and cults. Remember this, the bride of Christ seeks only Christ, who is the Word of God, the divine absolute truth that sets us free from sin towards holiness. Our Spiritual growth can only come through His Word, who makes us more like Him with God’s unconditional love.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let my life be rooted, built, and strengthened in the faith of your Word. For faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God. Draw me into the realm of your Spirit which is the realm of your Word, for the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Let there be a new divine hunger and thirst of righteousness for your Word within me, for I delight in your commands in Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer: O Lord my God, take me deeper into your Word daily. Let me see more of you through the gospel and the glory of your richness be deposited into my heart. For greater shall be you Lord, the Word of God inside of me, then the things of the world. Change me with thy Word. For your Word is the lamp to my feet and light to my path. My delight is in your Word, where the desires of my heart be fulfilled, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
