11 July 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8 NKJV. Good success is not man’s success but from God’s divine Word in our lives. Today’s major challenge in the Church is not lack of ministry, mission or meetings, but lack of Bible literacy, thirsty and hungry for God’s Word.

We desire the blessings but not the instructions, commandments and statues in reading, meditating and relating the Word of God. We desire the workings of the word but not the studying of the word. That’s the reason why there is a stagnation in disciple making over the past decades. You can’t impart what you don’t know. Even unlearned man like Peter and brothers studied under Jesus and remembered all He taught. The success in every ministry comes from being hungry for the depths of learning, practicing and teaching the Word of God in our family, ministry, mission, and marketplace. Knowing God’s word well is not to become a scholar but to be a good student and good success for Christ.

Prayer: O Lord my God, stir up a new hunger and thirst in my soul for your divine Word, like a deer pants for the waters. They are like sweet honey in the rock for my soul, giving strength to my eyes. Open the eyes of my heart that I may study, obey, and abide in your Word day and night, never leaving your teachings, wisdom and commandments. Teach me to bring souls to you by the sharing of your Word to the lost, least and the last that they may be saved, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
