Today’s Inspiration: “To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Isaiah 61:3 NKJV. We all need soul care to spiritually grow in the Lord. The kingdom of God is not about eating or drinking, even working or being busy. Why is it we are seeing more mental depression and terminal diseases increasing in our midst, despite of advancing and prospering of the Nation? The root is an unloving spirit.

When our minds are not on Christ, our minds become carnal and fleshly instead of walking in the Spirit and abiding in God’s word. When we neglect our soul, we neglect the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 3:16. Jesus taught at the Mount,”Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3. If we don’t put God first, we are putting our soul care last, not knowing our mind and body are weary. When we don’t love our soul, we don’t actually love God. Soul care brings inner healing, restoration, and reconciliation with God. It brings us back to our first love, and breaks idolatry. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if I have neglected my soul and not put you first. I break every idols and lofty things that hinders my relationship with you in Jesus Name. I rebuke any unloving spirit in my life and every thief that comes to steal my time with you in Jesus Name. Lead me into your presence and restore my weary soul and tired body. Revive my spirit with thy Holy Spirit in a divine exchange of beauty, joy and praise, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
