11 April 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.“ Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV. The best devotion to God is always the deepest reflection of self. Many desire prophetic word of edification but few are humble for correction of counsel. A spiritual life is a transformative life that bears Christ character and not just about spiritual gifts and anointing. Today we see many are hungry for ministries but few are hungry for discipleship. We are hunger for encounters but not ready for inner spiritual formation. It is easy to sin and take offence but difficult to really repent and ask for forgiveness. Luke 7:47.

Many do not know their offences until they go for inner healing and discipleship. Are there bitterness or injustice hidden in your soul when remembered, causes a knot in your stomach or anguish in your heart? Offences are strongholds in the soul which hinders progress and success. People who are easily provoked, short tempered, and unkind with words are ensnared by the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27. Roots of childhood rejections, neglect and injustice have to be uprooted to be a new creation in Christ. In the healing ministry we discovered the truth that many desire to walk a spiritual life but were unaware of demonic trash of their past offences, hurts and bitterness residing within. It’s only the truth of our offences that can truly set us free. So don’t hold offences with anyone. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the grace to forgive, forgo and forget.

Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for revealing and exposing offences in my life. It is not easy for me to forgive but I chose to forgive because of your love for me at the Cross. I am a sinner saved by your grace and let there be no offences that can hinder my relationship with God. Holy Spirit, change my attitude, behaviour and character to be more Christlike. Freely I receive this day, freely I shall forgive, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
