Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.” Psalms 84:4-5 NIV. Many are intelligent, gifted and talented, but few have purpose in their lives. Time is the most precious gift of life from God and the good steward of time derives from building a strong relationship with God. To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue. All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:1-3 NIV.
A purpose driven life ironically comes from the pain we go through in life. Joseph in the pit, Moses in the wilderness, and David in the cave tells us our purpose is found in the Lord, through the tests, trials and tribulations. Of course no one likes pain or suffering or even pray for them but the good news is we serve a King who isn’t unfamiliar with them. On the contrary, He overcame the Cross and defeated both the devil and death. Hebrews 2:14. A pilgrimage with Christ to deny our self, carry the Cross and follow Him. He shall reveal the divine purpose in our lives. Only purpose can fulfil and bring satisfaction to our soul and manifests the true meaning of live. Build people, not riches. Go for discipleship and not just blessings. Matthew 28:19. Learn to serve and not just for position. Don’t just know your gifts and calling, but know you weaknesses and vulnerability to be transformed and changed into Christ likeness. Praise the Lord!
Prayer: O Lord my God, search my heart and know my anxious thoughts. Let me remember all the good things you have done. Reveal in my heart the purpose of my tests, trials and tribulations in my life that I may know your plans, purpose and path. Your grace is ever sufficient for me, change me and lead me in your everlasting ways in fulfilling the purpose in my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
