Today’s Inspiration: “For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:19-21 NIV. Christ is coming back for His glorious church, and we are to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:27. Apostle Paul spoke about the importance of the covenant of marriage and the relationship between husband and wife, to be as Christ with the church.
Sanctification is the end of times greatest ministry for it was Jesus’s final prayer for our souls before He went to the Cross. We cannot build our marriage or parent our children without Christ. The Word teaches us that we have to learn how to submit to one another unto Christ. Ephesians 5:22. Wisdom spoke,” Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12. Most problem in marriages were due to dealing with differences in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. We all have our own sharp edges and wrong doings. The gospel didn’t teach us to become more like one another but becoming more like Christ to love one another. The power cord that strengthen our marriage and parenting is Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit that moulds us to be more like Him. That’s when healing, restoration and reconciliation takes rooting with love, peace and joy. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, I need you in my marriage and my parenting. Teach me to be more like you in all ways, for I shall not lean on my own understanding but learn to trust you with all my heart and obey all your commands. To commit all my ways to you, as your Holy Spirit directs my path with wisdom. If my heart has hardened, give me a new heart and spirit to love and forgive again. Such grace of yours is too wonderful to me. You are more than enough for me. Lead me, and I shall follow in Jesus' Name, Amen.
