10 May 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.” Psalms‬ ‭25:14-17‬.‭

Anger is spiritual and emotional toxicity. It comes to steal your joy, kill your love, and destroy your peace in the family. Worst of all many sicknesses arises from anger. Apostle Paul taught,” In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:26-27.‬ ‭Anger emerges when we want our own ways in disagreement rather to submit to one another in relationships, be it in marriage, parenting, work or ministry. Everyone has anger but we mustn’t let it has its hold on us. How? By turning your eyes and heart back to God, humble yourselves and pray. Practice Q.S.S, being quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. James 1:19 Learn to extend mutual forgiveness and respect. Remember God’s Word always brings love, acceptance and agreement in Christ, breaking the stronghold of anger. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, break my anguish and loneliness in my heart. Today I chose to confide in you and may your grace releases me of all my frustrations and troubles. Let my eyes be on you in all situations and not to the world. Let I be not quick to speak but rather quick in listen to your Word of Wisdom. Forgive my sin of anger and heal my rage. Restore in me your peace once again in all my relationships. May I bear fruit in repentance, forgiveness and love with more self control, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
