Today’s Inspiration: “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV. Living a Holy life is not trying to look religious and show others how blameless, knowledgeable or spiritual one is but rather to know one is a sinner saved by only the grace of God daily through Christ Jesus. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30. Without dying to self, we cannot follow Jesus and without dying to sin, we cannot walk a Holy life.

Apostle Paul taught,”Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29. The proud will not repent but the repentant will not be proud, only praising in Christ.
Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me to walk closer with you each day and to know you disciplines who you love and who you loved you prune so that our spirit becomes more fruitful in the Holy Spirit. You give us a crown of beauty instead of ashes; the oil of joy instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of heaviness. All these are possible only because of your Holy Word of grace, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
