Today’s Inspiration: “Everyone who believes [with a deep, abiding trust in the fact] that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) is born of God [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose], and everyone who loves the Father also loves the child born of Him.” 1 John 5:1 AMP. Our belief goes beyond our knowledge and understanding. One who is born again in Christ is a new creation and a new life, the old has gone, the new is here. 2 Corinthians 5:17. God is looking for a transformed heart, a heart that is after God’s heart. It is the year of a “transformed heart”.
Our identity is in Christ, for it is not the Cross that we wear around our neck that make us a Christian but a life that is transformed to be like Jesus. Who is Jesus to you? How does He look like to you? Why did everyone cry when they received Christ through repentance by faith? They never knew a holy God would love them so much to die at the Cross for their sins, bears all their sorrows and binds up their wounds. God’s love changes everything. Apostle Paul taught,” I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20.
Prayer: O Lord my God, change my heart, make it ever true. Change my heart O God, may I be like you. You are the potter, I am the clay. Make me and mold me for this is what I pray and desire, a transformed heart like Christ who does your will and purpose in Jesus' Name, Amen.
