10 August 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.”1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ One of the greatest plan of God is who He sent to uncover and shape your deepest potential, purpose and calling. We could see this happening in the Bible through intentional discipleship like the disciples with Jesus, Timothy with Paul, Moses with Jethro, Joshua with Moses, David with Samuel, Elisha with Elijah etc. Fruitfulness is not just being a good disciple of Christ but aspire to make good disciples for Christ through Christlikeness.

Paul’s golden advice for Timothy,”Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬-‭16.‬ ‭Our lives is not our own because it belongs to God and through Christ we can become a salt and light to the World. What we realise in life is that be it good or bad we directly and indirectly affects the people and environment around us with our attitudes, behaviour and character. How much more we can impact lives by walking and living in Christlikeness by giving ourselves to the Word of God?

Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me to love you and love my neighbour as myself. Thank you for bringing blessed people in my life to give me wisdom, counsel and deeper understanding of my calling, gifts and purpose. Let me discover you Lord more inside of me, that I can be a better version of myself daily. For it is more blessed to give than to receive, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
