Today’s Inspiration: “Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, your faith is great; it will be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment.” Matthew 15:28. What pleases God is not our religion, our success, or even our service or sacrifices. It is only our faith that can please Him. Hebrews 11:6. Surprisingly two of the greatest faith which Jesus commended in the gospel wasn’t from his disciples or the Jews but from two gentiles pre-believers, and one of them is this Canaanite woman.

Despite rejection from people surrounding Jesus, she came and began to kneel down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” And He replied, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the pet dogs (pre-believers).” She said, “Yes, Lord; but even the pet dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Matthew 15:25-27 She not only exemplify as a loving mother for her daughter’s deliverance but carries boldness, courage, and great faith to seek and believe in Jesus’s grace and mercy. Jesus didn’t ask who she was, what she does, or even where she is from. Jesus saw a woman that has great faith in Him. Are we afraid of rejection from people and even from God to ask him for help? Are we fearful to seek God despite our unworthiness? Can miracles come from crumbs? Be brave and courageous for our Lord has grace beyond our understanding. A broken spirit and contrite heart He will not despise or turn away. Psalm 51:17
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me for the way I see or perceived you with my own eyes and understanding. For your ways are higher than my ways and your thoughts are higher than my thoughts, just as the heavens is higher than the earth. Let me learn to be brave and courageous, for faith is embodied with boldness to believe, trust and obey your Word, your Holy Spirit and promises. Give me a new measure of faith to overcome and break every yoke of fear, and believe God is able to bring healing, miracles, signs and wonders in my life, family and children, in Jesus Name, Amen.
