Today’s Inspiration: “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.” Psalms 27:5 NIV. He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty, in prayer, petitions and thanksgiving in our hearts. Our prayer life reflects our spiritual life, growth and relationship with God. The devil’s most deadliest strategy is to steal your time in prayer. Then He is able to kill your peace and destroy your praise unto God. John 10:10. Why? Because prayer brings you into the presence, protection, purpose, providence and power of God.

Prayer protects the peace in our minds, our hearts and our words. It releases us from being stressed to being blessed. Prayer and waiting upon the Lord casts out all fears, anxieties and worries by God’s perfect love. That’s when God fights our battles and His glory is magnified. The psalmist says,”I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalms 27:13-14 Prayer leaves no foothold of the enemy and guards our mind and hearts in Christ. Prayer makes room for the Holy Spirit to direct us daily.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let there be light in the temple of the Holy Spirit day and night as I build the prayer and family altar. As two or three gathers together you are in our midst. Let your presence be the evidence of peace in my prayer closet, marriage and family altar. Draw me be close to you as I draw close to you. You prepare the fire; I shall prepare the living sacrifice. May the strength of the Lord arises and quicken me as I pray, in Jesus Name, Amen.
