Today's Inspiration: There is only one God for both Jews and Gentiles in the faith. Though we are under grace, do we then nullify the Law? Not at all. The Law is still upheld and like Jesus says He did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill what scriptures have written. Ephesians 3:14-21, Matthew 5:17.
When we say we are under grace, it does not mean that we can continue to sin in the flesh and not be under judgement. As believers, we are changed at the core of our being and we are now in the spirit or in Christ. But the habits of old life and the continuing reality of our fallenness still are at work in us to oppose the spirit. This flesh produces ugly works in Galatians 5:19-21. If we are not developing the fruit of the spirit in us through conviction of the spirit and develop the fruit of the spirit, the flesh tends to manifest. It all depends upon our ability to have self-control. The flesh as Paul described is our old habits, attitudes and behavior. Dismantling these old. Foundations is necessary to lead abundant Life. The presence of the spirit does not eliminate the power of the flesh within us but He does overpower it as long as we walk in the spirit anchored with God's word. The fruit of the spirit must be seen in our godly character that produces wholeness. It is this character that involves the growing reproduction of moral character of the Lord Jesus Christ in God's people. The supreme evidence of God's presence lies not in acts of power or remarkable abilities or awesome experiences but in the growing moral likeness to the Lord Jesus which the Bible described as fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5:22-23.
Abiding relationship with God will not cause us to panic in times of despair. We need to still the storm of panic in us so that God can perform a miracle in challenging times. Moses calmed the people by declaring to the Israelites who were at the brink of Red sea and declared that the Egyptians you see you will see no more and raise His hand for God to make a way for them to flee to safety. Exodus 14:14 and it was so. There is power in your words. When you abide in Him and His words abide in you, you shall bear more fruit. Without Him, you can do nothing. John 15:5. God be praised.
