1 December 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”Psalms 51:17 NIV God doesn’t want us to leave in a life of regrets or remorse but a life that has repentance, renewal and reformation of our soul. David made the greatest mistake of his life and sinned against God due to lust and murder but he was always a man after God’s heart and he knew he had grieved the Spirit of God. The difference between him and king Saul was that he was truly repentant but the latter wasn’t.

In the healing rooms, we have learnt that the greatest hurdle for a human soul is pride and lack of humility. Why brokenness is important in a Christian life? So that there is true, sincere and earnest repentance. Many want healing but few repent, and many are called but few are chosen. Who can heal a hardened heart? Only the heart of Christ who was given at the Cross of Calvary. No one can transform or change our hearts except the Holy Spirit. That’s why David prayed for the Lord not to take away the Spirit of God from Him, and cast him not from His presence. Psalm 51:11 In God’s presence, there is forgiveness, healing and salvation. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, “Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; Let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me, in Jesus Name, Amen.
