Today’s Inspiration: And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Moses was bringing the Israelites out of Egypt and He faced the greatest crisis and distress which is the worship of the golden calf by the people who just saw all the great miracles of God bringing them out of Egypt. Now 3000 were removed and a plague came unto the people due to their disobedience and rebellion.

Yet God has His mercy and grace because Moses chose to stand in the gap and pray for the atonement for the Nation of Israel, reminding God of His covenant to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Exodus 32:35. Have you ever thought that a Christian can experienced the healing, miracles, signs and wonders of God but is still rebellious, stubborn and disobedient today? The Israelites may have left Egypt but Egypt was still in their heart. We can come to Church but still have idols inside us. The Israelites had regrets but no repentance. God doesn’t look at just the sacrifice or offerings, He looks at our obedience and our changings into Christlikeness.

Prayer: O Lord my God, break every idols that is in my heart, my mind and my life that hinders my relationship with you. For I worship you not because of what you can bless me but for who you are in my salvation and sanctification. Let nothing separate me from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Let nothing be bigger than you in my worship, prayers, and praise, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
