The Altar

Updated: Oct 26, 2022

“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,” Acts‬ ‭2:46‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Prayer is the spiritual thermostat of the maturity of a disciple of Jesus Christ. Do we remember when Jesus brought Peter, James and John to the mountain for prayer, they always sleep on Jesus, while He prayed fervently to Abba Father God. Matthew 26:40. We don’t need rocket science to teach us about prayers because in the matter of fact, our prayer is built through the baptism of fire in life.

Show me an intercessor with great, intense and strong fervency, we can easily discern a life that has been filled with desperation, trials, tests and crisis. James 1:3. That’s why the altar is never short of God’s living sacrifice which is our surrender, yieldedness, and submission to His will, His ways, and His Holy Spirit. Every move of God be it in Egypt, Babylon, Nineveh, or Jerusalem, it all begins from the cry of His children and people in prayer. Psalm 34:17. In Christ, we rejoice for the atonement of our sins and the redemption of our souls for eternity with sincerity, purity and gratefulness.

Our altar life depicts our spiritual life and that’s the Holy Spirit’s thermostat because He led us and reminds us on our spiritual growth and God’s Word. Without prayer, there is no personal relationship with God. Prayer and praises draw us closer to God in Worship. When God’s encounters and His miracles becomes our normality and reality, can we really be a witness of Christ. Therefore, do not fear tests, trials or tribulations for they are foundation stones of our prayer life and maturing process in Christ. Praise God!

To God be the glory!

"By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see." Acts‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
