"Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you." 1 Timothy 4:13-16
Paul was coaching Timothy not just in devotion to God’s Word for doctrinal understanding but also on demonstration of his gift for the people, which the prophecies were revealed to him. God desires to see progress in our spiritual, physical and relational life. In doing so, we become God vessel and channel of blessings to the Body of Christ.
Remember that when we walk the talk in Christ, it enable us to bring credibility to our lives and witness for others to follow. Without aspiration, there is no inspiration. You must first be on fire, before others could burn.
