Prayer for our Nation

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.” For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:12-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Over the last 50 years, our founding fathers of Singapore had laid the boundary stones which our generation today are enjoying its fruitfulness of peace, prosperity, and progress. Proverbs 22:28.


As such these stones are like prayer altars which were laid to declare God’s presence and victory over the forces of evil and darkness from penetrating the Church, and take possession of the land. Matthew 7:24. These are hard and not popular decisions but are biblically grounded with power by prayer. Our law stands against drugs with death sentence, against possession of arms, against threats to heterosexual marriage definition, against violence in democracy and against corruption. For without such wisdom, we would have been swallowed by bigger threats and enemies. Hence we have to pray for God to watch over the boundary stones of our Nation Singapore. Psalm 127:1. May they never be moved.


May our Nation and Church leaders be like Gideon and his 300 who built the Lord’s Altar of Peace. So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah‬ ‭59:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.
