One of the most unexpected candidate, turned out not only as Jesus closest companion to the Cross but also the one who he loves a lot is John, who is the brother of James and they are called, "Sons of Thunder of Zebedee”, which tells of their fiery and impetuous character. Mark 3:17. Yet upon encountering Christ, he was made as a disciple who later transformed into an apostle of love, because of his intimacy with the Lord.
He described, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—” 1 John 1:1-2
Love is the language in God’s Kingdom and manifests the presence of God. 1 John 4:12. Everything Jesus did on earth with healing, miracles, signs and wonders reveals that agape love is the heartbeat of life and reflects the heart of God, the Father, who gave His only Son to die for our sins at the Cross that we do not perish with sin, but have eternal Life with faith, working through love. Galatians 5:6.
