9 January 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s inspiration: “Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm‬ ‭119:129-130.‬ ‭Year 2022 is to delight in the Lord and His Word. When we chose to obey God in His commands to keep ourselves from sin, His blessings shall begin to unfold in one’s life. Obedience requires a consecration of heart and removal of all heart sins.

Heart sins are like anger, bitterness, fear, doubts, pride, jealousy, injustice etc. They hinders our relationship with God and others. Heart sins are festering wounds of past hurts, offences and abuses taken into one’s soul personally but few are aware of it to confess and these are emotional bondages. Why? Because it’s the devil’s foothold. Ephesians 4:27 Healing is not a program or something optional. Healing is a privilege and honour for God to perform His deliverance and redemption of our souls from the past. Many don’t think they need healing because of pride, fear and hidden sins. Repentance is beautiful and is honourable before a great, mighty and loving God. Praise Him!

Prayer: O Lord My God, lead me into deeper healing in 2022. Let no heart sins have any foothold in my life. See if there is offences within me, lead me into you everlasting ways. Search me, and know my anxious thoughts, that I may confess and cast all my cares to your Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
