“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:7-8
How does pagan prays? Idol worshippers would only and always pray for what they want for themselves. It is self-centred, materialistic, and covetous.
The Lord’s Prayer always begins with God, and ends with God. God knows what we need because He is our awesome creator and is all knowing, all present, and all powerful. Job 42:2. Prayer is the kingdom’s labour and it is filled with plans and purposes of God. Prayer is prophetic because it’s about Praying what we are hearing from God. For faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17. Parents shall teach the children not just to pray what they want but God says in His Word.
Let this be a new season to get into God’s new plans and purpose for your life. Spend personal time of prayer in the secret place and I am sure you shall find God because He told us so in the Bible. Jeremiah 29:11-14. Praise God!
