8 August 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.” Psalms‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬. The perfect love of God cast out all fears. Today our greatest challenge of our Nation is mental wellness, which faces depression, loneliness, and helplessness. They are all roots of fear. When we have the wrong fear, we open doors to the enemy. But the Bible teaches us a different fear which is able to pull out all these roots. It is the reverence fear of the Lord.

The psalmist sang,”The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭Reverencing God is to seek Him, trust Him and place our hope in Him. Not because of what He can do for us but for who He is, our Father in Heaven and we are His children. The Word of God brings love, faith and hope always. God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear but the spirit of Sonship.

Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for your Word. For when I fear, I will put my trust in you. You are my Lord who fights all my battles and lifts up my head with your mighty hand. Your Word shall triumph over all my fears, anxieties and stress. For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus Name, Amen.
