Today’s Inspiration: “Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.” Proverbs 19:20-21 NKJV. A disciple of Christ top priority is to hear the voice of God. Without God, all man’s plans are futile. Psalm 127:1. In 2023, our focus is to follow Jesus footsteps by hearing the voice of God, our Heavenly Father. Before one can hear God’s voice, he must have faith. By faith, Zaccheus climbed the tree, Simon and brothers hung their nets, the woman with issue of blood touched Jesus’s hem. They all gave their undivided attention to Christ and they believed in Him.

We may have many plans but God has one special for you. Jesus said to his disciples before He went to the Cross,” But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:26 What remembrance? The Word of Christ which is the Word of God. Our plans must follow the Word of God and His counsel. It is more important to have the God of your plans, not just trying to know the plans of God. Jeremiah 29:11. Most of the time the breakthroughs are not happening because we didn’t follow what God told us to do the last time? Christ is always our true north and God’s attention is always on those who obey. 1 Samuel 15:22. So seek His counsel in 2023, the year of Gimmel, His Spirit for faith comes from hearing, hearing the voice of God.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let thy Holy Spirit brings forth remembrance of your prophecies and word of knowledge spoken in my life. Speak O Lord, for your servant hears you. Lead me not away from your presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me for you are my desire and my divine planner. Lead me away from distractions and temptations that I may focus and fulfil the delight of the Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
