4 October 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭13.‬ ‭Don’t be disappointed or fearful in the midst of tests, trials, and tribulations for Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John‬ ‭16‬:‭33.‬ ‭As we humble ourselves and trust God, He is the fourth man in the Fire, the mighty wind at the Red Sea, and the manna in the Wilderness.

Weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5. Dawn comes breaking through the darkest of night. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice. Isaiah‬ ‭42‬:‭3‬. No one likes suffering but as the soul tarries it strengthens in Christ and without discipline there is no development of one’s life destiny. Paul says‭,” I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭18. If we submit, surrender and seek wholeheartedly to God, He will lift us up with His righteous right hand of grace and mercy, with favour and peace. Greater glory shall come.

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the saviour of my crisis and healer of my disease. You are the divine provider of my needs and revealer of my sins. Create in me a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy within me and give me a willing spirit that sustains, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
