Today's Inspiration: Whatever your situation maybe, do not lose heart. His promises have been tested and His righteousness is everlasting. You may be troubled and distressed but still cling onto His commands. Psalm 119:140-143. Let His words unfold to give you light and understanding. V130. Let His word be a lamp to your feet to light up your path. Psalm 119:105.
God is a merciful God. When all things seem to come to an end, little do we know that the Lord always leave a remnant to fulfill His purpose. Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah thought she destroyed the royal family of the house of Judah to usurp the throne. Little did she know that Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jeroboam stole Joash, son of Ahaziah from the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom and hid him from Athaliah so that she could not kill him. In God's timing, Jehoiada the husband of Jehosheba the priest showed his strength and made a covenant with the commanders of the units of a hundred to gather the Levites and the heads of Israelite families from all towns to overthrow Athaliah. 2 Chronicles 22:10-23:15. There was peace in the land after she was overthrown. V21. God has outwitted the enemy. Their success was timely as it was God's purpose and timing to restore the temple of the Lord. 2 Chronicles 24:4. God's timing is always accurate. He does what He pleases and His strategies never failed. It takes unity of the spirit to execute His plans of restoration. Our God is merciful. When men's efforts are futile and are formed to His image and mind, He came with His strategies and angelic forces to fight the battle for them. So be still when times are tough. The battle is the Lord's. He will be exalted over the Nations and the whole Earth. Psalm 46:10. He will reveal the next path to take. It's only when our strength fails that He lift up His standard to make us an overcomer. Psalm 46.10. God be praised.
