5 December 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Updated: Dec 7, 2022

Today’s Inspiration: “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.” Isaiah‬ ‭44‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ We are created to be filled with the Spirit of God for our souls, just as the creation is created to become the image of the creator. We feel dry, weary and tired is because our minds and hearts are being caught up by the issues on the earth daily and we forgotten that we need the Holy Spirit to refill, recharge and renew us daily. Remember our peace don’t come from the earth but from heaven. John 14:27. Praying in the Spirit opens up the heavens to pour down living waters from the altar of the Lord to irrigate our souls with freshness and strength in the Spirit.

The Church today is desperately needing the Holy Spirit just like the days of the Apostles. Only the Holy Spirit can bring one soul into repentance, baptism and transformation in character, especially in the family. Galatians 5:22-23. Bearing fruit is not about becoming richer and prosperous. Scripture tells us clearly that bearing fruit is all about becoming Christlike, the image of God. This is the supernatural workings of the Holy Spirit. He does the will and speaks the truth and will of God. John 16:12. Today churches are facing drying challenges is because we no longer long, hungry and thirst for the Holy Spirit. He is the exemplified power of the triune Godhead. Most of our struggles are because of defilement, heart sins and spiritual disobedient to God but if we yield to the Holy Spirit, repent and let Christ come into our hearts to love, forgive and bless, we can become like new wine skins in the renewal our minds and hearts so that we can be ready for the new wine from the Lord which is His joy of salvation. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: O Lord my God, pour out your spirit upon me. You know all my sins, iniquities and transgressions. I repent wholeheartedly and be willing to set apart from them as far as the east is from the west. Let me be Holy for you are Holy. Sanctify my soul that I may become your vessel of honour and set me apart that I may live a new life, walking in the Spirit for you are the way, truth and life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
