Today’s Inspiration: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21. How do we store up treasures in Heaven? Do we have a heavenly inheritance? Jesus spoke about the glorious place where we will reside eternally.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4. And to go there is to follow Jesus Christ for He is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6 “Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” Proverbs 23:4-5. Don’t build riches, but build a close relationship with God and people, which is of eternal value and inheritance. Like the disciples who gave it all for Christ shall receive their great reward. To live is for Christ. Philippains 1:21 Living is giving like Christ. For it is more blessed to give than to receive, Jesus taught. Acts 20:35 Fulfilment in life is not about achievements but contribution with the love of God to help others in need like Christ. Only love can carry us to the other side into the Kingdom of God. Jesus is the way, truth and life. John 14:6.
Prayer: O Lord My God, let my vision and passion be upon the things of heaven and not of the earth. Let thy will be done on earth in my life as it is assigned from Heaven. Let me be your signs and wonders that others may know Christ and let my walk with Christ be salt and light to others around me that I may partakers of your divine nature and inheritance, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
