Today's Inspiration: The righteous shall live by faith. And if he shrinks back, the Lord will not be pleased. Hebrews 10:38. Faith is a commitment to God that we rely not on men but on His promise. While faith focus on the future, it is grounded in the past. Faith knows a God that is more than adequate for any demand that life places on us.

Faith is trusting the Lord with all our heart and not leaning on our own understanding like a little child who innocently trusting the Father even if he does not understand. Proverbs 3:5-6. For all our ways we acknowledge Him who will make our paths straight. Faith is walking and trusting the Father without wavering in doubt trusting Him to pull us through out of the net. Many things in our life makes sense when we realize that God is pursuing His agenda of building faith deep within us, an agenda we see at work in the lives of Abraham and Moses.

Impatience indicates a lack of trust in God's perfect will and way. King Saul's impatience cost him his crown when prophet Samuel did not arrive on time to perform the sacrifices. Samuel declares to him obedience is better than sacrifices and disobedience is a rebellion that is likened to sin of witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:22-23.

Waiting is not easy especially when the host of enemies is almost at your doorstep. Yet God often used times of waiting as some of His most significant ways to deepen His works within us. Hence Apostle James wrote to let patience have its perfect way that we maybe perfect wanting nothing. James 1:4. He that believes shall not make haste. Isaiah 28:16. God be praised.

Prayer: Lord grant me the patience that I need to receive good outcome in all that I do. Like Abraham I like to wait and trust the timing of God. Open my spiritual eyes to see what my physical eyes cannot see. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
