28 March 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.” Haggai‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV. The glory of the Lord emits from the image of God. To experience divine changes in life, we need to see and know who Jesus truly is for ourselves. Before a house is renovated, it needs to first establish the new design and its specifications. A new image and vision. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Likewise our prayers and devotion to the Lord opens up new visions and visibility of Christ in our Spirit.

We cannot pour in new wine into old wine skins so we also cannot renovate our house without first removing all old, damaged, and dysfunctional stuff within. Prophet Jeremiah spoke,” See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”Jeremiah‬ ‭1‬:‭10.‬ ‭It’s hard to throw away negative attitudes, habits, behaviours and characters like anger, resentment, jealousy, pride, bitterness and unforgiveness, just to name a few. To build a strong spiritual house, we need to demolish and remove all spiritual trash and toxic reactions like these before we can renovate and build a glorious house of God within us. For we are created to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Let reflect in this Holy Week for a new renovation of our spirit, soul, and body.

Prayer: O Lord my God, for in your light I see light and your words are like fountain of life. Show me the glory of your image and Kingdom. Remove and demolish all negative, damaged and dysfunctional reactions in my life and let there be a new spiritual design, specification and renovation to the house of my soul. For I proclaimed and believe that God’s future is greater than my past in Jesus Name, Amen.
