27 August 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: A man of understanding has a calm spirit. Proverbs 17:27. It's when the spirit is calm that we are able to ascertain the root of the storm. Focus is the word for us in times of confusion or adversity.

Our faith is not believing that God will grant us our request the way we need but that His answer will always be the answer for our ultimate good. God always knows ahead of time what we need and our capability to handle each and every situation. When we come to God with a request, His answer is either yes or no as He is not an author of confusion. His yes or no is always for our ultimate good.

Jesus major virtue is listening to the Father so listening to the Holy spirit becomes our primary responsibility. Jesus' ministry on Earth even as a man was so powerful because of the power of the Holy Spirit within him and because of his full allegiance to the Father. May we practice total allegiance to our Lord and Master that all His promises to us become a reality in our life.

Proverbs 19:21 man proposes God disposes. This should not be a deterrent to us making plans. Instead commit our plans to God. We ought to understand that all plans of men are subject to His will and His purpose. God is always judging the thoughts of our hearts and the plans that we make to see if it is in harmony with His plans for us. For His plans are always better than our plans. God's word is sufficient to calm any storms just as demons have to leave when commanded to do so. You cannot say you have faith yet you have fear. Fear always paralyses faith and should be discarded from our spirit. Whatever we do we must do in faith. Watch over our works and do our part. To assess the maturity of the believer we need to measure them by the fruit they reap. Their fruits determine the time they spent daily with the Lord. God be praised.

Prayer: Lord take away our heart of stone and replace it with one of flesh so that we can bear the fruit of righteousness. May I have passion for Jesus and His ministry more and more. In Jesus’ name, Amen
