Today‘s Inspiration: ”Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.“ Proverbs 3:15-16 NIV. The greatest joy in the world is to know Christ Jesus. Eternal life comes from the victory over sins through the blood of Jesus and God’s blessings come through the obedience of His Word, who is Christ. John 1:1. Life is not about wanting more but needing less.
The Son of God did not come to live in mansions but was born in a manger. He came to eat with sinners to save their souls. He walks among the poor, the sick and the lost to bring redemption, healing and restoration. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. It is the fear of Lord of that gives us godly wisdom and contentment so that we can be generous and good steward of His plans, provisions and purposes on earth as it is in heaven. Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4.
Prayer: O Lord my God, guard my heart to always be humble, obedient and teachable by your Word and Spirit. Let I not follow or conform to the patterns of the world but be transformed through the renewing of the mind with your Spirit and truth. Give me a new measure of faith to have more of Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
