Today's Inspiration: The Lord brings the counsel of Nations to nothing. He makes the plans of the people of no effect. Psalm 33:10. Such is the power of God. His creative power is found in faith-filled words. He created the world with the words ‘Let there be…’ God fashions our hearts individually and considers all our works. v15. The word 'individual' means He formed us to His image with an identity He required of us.
So we do not need to desire to be like someone but instead have close union with God so that we can be fashioned according to His thoughts of who we are to be. In His image means not in appearance but to have His Divine attributes to characterise Christ in us.
Unless we allow the Holy Spirit's light on the inside to be switched on continually, your attitude towards what you see will not change. 2 Corinthians 3:18. You should be still and always listen to the voice of God in your heart so that you act correctly and your compass be pointed to the direction God wants you to focus on.
When you have strong reaction towards people's words, you must know that God has sent you a message that there are some parts of you that feel unsafe. Don't trivialise reaction but recognise it as valid and valuable. Find courage to resist past fear with faith filled words of courage in 2 Timothy 1:7. Sometimes we spent so much time on the top that we overlook the baseline boiling point. Emotional competency is to see beyond the present circumstances and take ownership of the future like Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13, 4:18-19. God be praised.
Prayer: Lord, help us to reorganize our thoughts to that of faith to understand others so that we could develop enduring and trusting relationships to complement each other to bring our project to successful completion and to the satisfaction of all. In Jesus’ name Amen.
