Today’s Inspiration: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” II Corinthians 4:7. What is the treasure apostle Paul was referring to? What is the treasure in our hearts? For where the treasure is, that’s where are our heart is. Matthew 6:21. Do we treasure the worldly things or the kingdom of God? Do we choose mammon or God? Jesus taught that we can’t serve the two masters in verse 24. We reckoned if we chase two rabbits, we lose both.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 9:10. This is not emotional fear but the reverence fear to carefully observe and diligently obey the Word of God. God’s Word is not just a blessing but His glorious light that leads our spirit man from the darkness of Egypt into the light of Canaan.
Remember the blessing of God doesn’t forge our spiritual life but the Word of God does. The treasure is Christ for He is the Word of God. He is the way, the truth, and life. John 14:6. Satan will fight his way to prevent you from reading God’s Word daily because you become the Word when you read, just as those who are in the light becomes the light. Ephesains 5:13. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me write your Word in my heart. You are the treasure that I seek for the world has nothing for me, but your Kingdom is light to me and lamp to my feet. Let my Spirit Lord into the joy of my salvation and fullness of your calling and prophetic destiny, in Jesus Name, Amen.
