22 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalms‬ ‭16:5-8‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Laying hold on God is so important in a disciple’s lifestyle. The disciples have to drop their nets, leave their booths and step out of the comfort zone to follow Jesus. They discovered that life is not just about eating and drinking or pleasures but a calling to follow Jesus and bring the gospel of good news to the lost, bringing righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17.

Today many of our eyes is on the World rather than the Kingdom of God. We are afraid to make sacrifices because of insecurity and fear of lack. We want to do what we want or like and have no time for God, His Word and His Holy Spirit. This allow idolatry to come in and our boundary lines to be broken. Disobedience allows satan to come in to steal, kill and destroy. Rebellion is witchcraft and only repentance is able to save souls and bring back the divine order, blessings and the Lord’s beautiful portion into our lives. 1 Samuel 15:23. To restore peace in families, we need the blood of Jesus to bring forgiveness for one another daily. We have to crucify our past at the Cross with Christ and live a new resurrection life with Jesus. We see in the Spirit many are stuck in their past hatred, bitterness and anger. They even hate themselves, God, and life. These are signs of self-centredness and not Christ-centredness. No one can help you to forgive except your decision to follow Jesus. We are all sinners saved by grace. Forgiveness always bring healing, restoration and reconciliation. That’s why satan hates it and prevents it. This is the season to rebuild that Altar of Peace for your House, and a closer relationship with God.

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me with thy Holy Spirit to forget what is behind me and I choose to let go and lay hold on Jesus Christ my healer, my deliverer and saviour. Remind me daily to forgive myself and others just as Christ sanctify himself and others. Let me have the courage to also seek others for forgiveness as well. Release me from any past anger, hatred, envy, bitterness and unforgiveness with thy precious blood. Forgive my sins just as I forgive those who have sin against me. I only desire your word, peace and presence. Guide me to rebuild the altar of peace in Jesus' Name, Amen.
