20 July 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬. A life struggling with sin is like a broken recorder. One sister once told me she doesn't steal, kill or lie and has no major sin in her life, why is she struggling with sickness, frustrated and restless with countless problems recurring. Later in inner healing, she realised how much pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, anger and resentment she had harbour within her because of abuses in her life.

Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. John 8:32. Most of us don’t like to face our pain so we tend to hide, run, deny or blame. It’s the heart sins that keep replaying daily by the enemy. We are supposed to be a recorder of God’s word, blessing, and promises. That is why God give us His Holy Spirit to reveal to us in prayer and word of knowledge to discern the conditions of our souls to bring healing, restoration and reconciliation to God. Our mountains of wounds in the past has to be given to Jesus so that they be cast into the sea of grace and mercy of God. Mark 11:23. Grace is receiving the forgiveness we don’t deserve and the mercy is not receiving the punishment we deserve. And Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, even if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Humble our hearts daily to reflect, renew and reform into the likeness of Christ through confession, forgiveness and change. If our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
