19 July 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away.” Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ Our wounded and hurting places in the past are dry places which the enemy uses to build his strongholds. When God restores Israel through the prophetic utterance of Isaiah, souls shall repent and every knees shall bow to confess Jesus Christ is Lord.

The roots of depression the world is fighting today is hopelessness, worthlessness, emptiness and loneliness. It doesn’t matter whether you are rich or poor. To break free from depression, we have to break free from the kingdom of self. Every voice of self-accusations, self-blame, and self-centeredness, has to be silenced for self-pity is an evil spirit of the enemy. Hurts in the past can cause emptiness or emotional deficits which one struggles to fill. Only Jesus can fill and satisfy your soul with healing, deliverance, restoration, and reconciliation to God. Put your trust in God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5.

Prayer: O Lord my God, if there are dry or desolated places in my heart, I chose to give them to you. You are the lover of my soul, and the joy of my salvation. You are the hope of glory and lifter of my head. Lead me to seek you and your kingdom first in righteousness and restore my soul with your love, peace and joy once again, for its no longer I who live but Christ lives in me, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
