19 April 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas, though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge.” Psalm 46:1-3. This is a season to invest our time in prayer, in the Word, and in deeper intimacy with God. Do not let the things of the world distract our attention and investment of time with God, rather it is through the time with God in prayer, petitions, and thanksgiving that we are able to let go of our fears, anxieties, and stress. Apostle Paul reminds the Church to pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not extinguish the Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-1. In another words, prayerlessness quenches the Spirit but prayerfulness quickens and fires up the Spirit. Praise God!

Prayer opens our eyes in our hearts and our spirit to the glory, goodness, and greatness of God. Nehemiah 1:6. Today the greatest challenge for the body of Christ is the disciples not devoting themselves in prayer and the Holy Word of God. We are seeing more and more evil in this world because of prayerlessness and prayerlessness brings forth lawlessness. Today we are seeing in Nations that Churches can become an entertainment, motivational, and business centres rather than a spiritual house of God that is filled with deep devotion to prayer and the Word of God. Jesus said,” God’s house is the house of Prayer for all Nations, but men has made it to become a den of robbers. Mark 11:17. We have to rebuild all the broken altars of the Nations, homes, marriages, and especially our personal prayer altar. Prayer carries the breath of God in His Word. Prophet Jeremiah released to the Nation of Israel,” Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:6. Prayer keeps us in line, in tune, and in the move of God in our lives. Know this, the flesh is anti-prayer, but the spirit is prayerful. A Holy Spirit filled soul, is a prayer filled temple of God. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me into a new season of deeper prayer and devotion to your Word. Open up my eyes to the your will and purpose of the Kingdom and not of the world. Let my spirit move into your greater and unsearchable things. Break every form of lukewarmness that is within me, and fan up a new flame of fire to be ignited for your glory! Break every form of tiredness, weariness, and stress. For those who wait upon you shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings like eagles. When they run, they will not be weary and when they walk they shall not faint, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
