17 December 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. God’s blessing comes when we enter into His rest and presence. We cannot use our flesh to battle weariness and weakness but to pray, worship and wait upon the Lord to renew our strength. Isaiah 40:31. After the Pandemic, we see many are struggling with weariness, lethargy and fear. But blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord, we are blessed. Psalm 118:26. It is where our living waters flow out, the altar of God.

The pandemic is like a huge wave which swept all souls out of the Church, the Father's House and many are dry and lost like fishes that came out of the water unto the land. Today we see many are unchurched, and technology has caused believers to neglect the Father’s House. It is the lie of the devil to let us be alone, self help with YouTubes, and a lifestyle which suits our convenience of Christianity. Remember fish belongs to the water and not the land. God is drawing back all his children back to His house, our Spiritual home and family where we find our healing, rest and koinonia. Jesus said,” Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28.‬ “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭49‬ ‭NIV‬‬.

Prayer: O Lord my God, I belong to the Father’s House and so are my children and theirs. Forgive me if I have neglected the House of God and give me a new zeal for the Father’s House. For blessed is he who comes to your dwelling place. Let me immerse in your living waters and restore my soul once more with your strength, calling and purpose. That I shall run and not feel weary, walk and shall not faint, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
