Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24 NKJV. In this coming season, we have to operate by faith and not by sight. When Jesus told the disciples that need to have more faith is not in themselves but in the Lord. Faith is led by the Holy Spirit for it is His gift. What will hinder faith is fear, doubt and unbelief. Mark 9:23. Faith arises when we believe in the spoken Word of God upon our lives through prophetic utterance, prayers and laying of hands by elders. Do not neglect the gift of God which has been given to us to serve. 1 Timothy 4:14.
This was the charge of Apostle Paul to young Timothy. He told Timothy to watch his personal life and doctrine as a minister of the gospel. The greatest obstacle to effective and powerful prayer is unforgiveness. Prayers cannot do without forgiveness and forgiveness cannot do without prayers. Repentance is powerful and the biggest threat to the devil. It is the narrow path which leads to Jesus the eternal life and the kingdom of heaven. We must daily search our hearts in prayer. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11:25-26.
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive my sins, iniquities and transgressions. Search me, for you know my hearts more than I do, and see if there are any anxious thoughts. If there are any offences, increase my faith to forgive and release them to those who hurt me. Lead me with your everlasting ways. Let my prayers be purposed and directed by your Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
