15 November 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.” Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Don’t not undermine or ignore sin in our lives, for hinders one’s relationship with God and with man. Today we are living in an era and generation with unprecedented evil, rampant sins and cold love. Even in churches, we can not longer hear sermons dealing with our worldly and wicked ways but only hear the blessings and feel good verses. Just as pampering spoils the child but discipline makes him sober and wise. Without conviction, there is no conversion. Without consecration, there is no Christ inside of us. It’s only the fear of the Lord that could bring wisdom, knowledge and understanding to live a Holy life. Proverbs 9:10.

Apostle Paul taught, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.” Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭17.‬ The hardest word to say in one’s life is “I am sorry”, just as it is difficult to say,” I love you. Yet this this greatest salvation and commandment which Jesus taught to His disciples. Our messiah taught, “He who forgives little, loves little.” Luke 7:47. Such profound and divine words of truth and fruitfulness from the Lord shall bear much fruit. The more we look to the fault of others, we are blinded ourselves. Matthew 7:1. Learning to see our own sins and wrongs in repentance is the first step of our spiritual journey to know Christ personally and intimately. It helps our marriages and parenting daily.

Prayer: O Lord my God, if there are any areas of hardness in my heart, give me a new one. Teach me how to forgive like you did at the Cross and guide me how to love like you did on the earth. Let your image shine into my soul daily so that I may follow your ways and not mine, to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. Let I not hold offences but releases my defences into your grace to forgive and love, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
