Today’s Inspiration: “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:4-6
This is one commandment we tend to look away quickly because we can see this daily in the world today with many images that is ungodly in social media and digital world, which people are attracted to. Remember what captures our attention, captures our hearts and if it is not God, we have to be discerning to break the iniquities and they can be generational. Matthew 6:21.
God is intentional and specific in His discipline, correction and instructions. We are not physical beings but spiritual beings. Sin creates generational bondages but repentance breaks them at the Cross of Calvary. 2022 is to keep our eyes focus on Jesus and what God’s Word desires us to do. Sin begins with distraction, deception, and enticement. When God breaks and loose the chains of sin, a heir of bondage becomes a heir of His kingdom. It breaks the cycle of curses into a cycle of blessings. This is a year of repentance, recovery and restoration.
Prayer: O Lord my God, keep my eyes and heart focus on your light, calling and kingdom purposes. Keep me with a heart of repentance, submission and humility. I come against the devourer of my time, resources, and attention with the blood of Jesus. I proclaim I am a heir of your divine inheritance and delight in your commandments. Establish the works of my hands to be fruitful and multiply for the kingdom of God in Jesus' Name.
